Messages in bottles

Roll a few words of encouragement into a bottle and throw it into the pond. Every day, 2 bottles from other players wash up for you. Pop the cork and see what someone wanted you to hear.

You're doing better than you think.

A little house with a garden and a mailbox. A bubble pops up when new letters or replies arrive, and your favourite replies are kept safe for the harder days.

Kind by design.

Kind Minds is for kindness, not for chatting or meeting people. That's built into how it works.

Anonymous by default

No account and no profile. Sign with a nickname, or simply stay anonymous.

No contact details

Links, phone numbers, e-mail addresses and social media handles are filtered out, so letters stay letters.

Kind words only

Unkind words are caught before a letter goes out, and anyone who seems to be having a hard time gets a gentle pointer to help.

Report and block

Reporting or blocking a sender is one tap away, and every report is read. Breaking the rules can get a device banned from sending letters.

Questions?

Who reads my letters?

Other Kind Minds players, picked for you by the post office. They never learn who you are, and you never see who they are. Each letter keeps travelling for up to two weeks, and the ones read by the fewest people go out first.

Do I need an account?

No. There's no sign-up, no e-mail and no password. You can pick a nickname to sign your letters with, change it any time, or stay anonymous.

How many letters can I send and get?

You can write up to 3 letters and throw 1 bottle into the pond each day. Up to 7 letters and 2 bottles come to you. Replies aren't limited.

What if I get an unkind letter?

Tap "Actions" under the letter to report it or block the sender for good. Every report is read, a message reported by several people is hidden right away, and senders who break the rules can be banned.

What are coins for?

You earn coins for writing letters, replies and words of encouragement, and spend them on new papers and envelopes in the stationery shop.
